Symposium on the Transmission Technologies for New Energy Vehicles and the Industrial Cooperation Opportunities in BRICS Member States Kicks off in Xiamen
In an effort to facilitate the cooperation between Xiamen and BRICS member states in the sphere of electric vehicle and engineering machinery electrification, Xiamen Victwo BizTech Co., Ltd. (Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator) teamed up with Topyoung (Xiamen) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. to hold on June 10, 2022 in Xiamen the "Symposium on the Transmission Technologies for New Energy Vehicles and the Industrial Cooperation Opportunities in BRICS Member States", at which Mr. Guo Konghui, an esteemed member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), and his accomplished team were invited to share their deep insights with the audience. The Symposium was chaired by Mr. Edward Yang, Chairman of Xiamen Victwo BizTech Co., Ltd.
This Symposium received close guidance and strong support from the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, XMTORCH Management Committee, Huli District People's Government of Xiamen, Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau, and Xiamen Association for Science and Technology, and was addressed by Mr. Hong Liang, Deputy Director of the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, Mr. Zhou Xiaogang, Deputy Head of Huli District People's Government of Xiamen, Mr. Hong Fenxin, First-Level Researcher at XMTORCH Management Committee, official from Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau, etc.
At the Symposium, Mr. Cai Youjian, Chairman of Topyoung (Xiamen) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., and Mr. Wang Juexiao, Manager of the Technology Department of KH Automotive Technologies Co., Ltd., introduced the audience to the development trends of engineering machinery electrification, the hydro-pneumatic suspension technology and its application on commercial vehicles. Mr. Edward Yang, Chairman of Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator, expounded on the status quo of the electric vehicle and electric engineering machinery industries in BRICS member states and the associated cooperation opportunities. Mr. Jose Ricardo, CEO of LIDE China, and Mr. Adalberto Maluf, President of the Brazilian Association of Electric Vehicle, briefed the audience on the latest developments in the electric vehicle industry of Brazil through prerecorded video.
Afterwards, CAE Member Mr. Guo Konghui had an insightful talk with participants, stressing that with the rise of new energy vehicles and the associated new technologies over the past years, the international auto industry has ushered in a period of rapid transformation, which comes in parallel with the restructuring of business paradigms and value chain of the traditional auto industry, and that the electrification, networking, intelligence, and sharing have converged into an overwhelming trend. He suggested that Fujian should follow through China's carbon peak and carbon neutrality policy by vigorously developing new energy vehicles and giving full play to its existing advantages in automobile resources, adding that with the further advancement in the construction of BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, XMTORCH Management Committee, Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau, Huli District Government of Xiamen and other competent authorities should make concerted efforts to facilitate the cooperation between Xiamen and China's electric vehicle and engineering machinery industries and their counterparts in BRICS member states.
To conclude, a cooperation agreement was executed between Topyoung (Xiamen) Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. and the team led by Mr. Guo Konghui under the witness of officials and guests present at the Symposium. The two sides will set up an engineering machinery electrification workstation in Xiamen to shore up the thriving development of Xiamen's engineering machinery industry.
This Symposium was attended by approximately 50 representatives from Xiamen King Long United Automotive Industry Co., Ltd., School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering of Xiamen University of Technology, College of Physics & Electronic Information Engineering of Minjiang University, etc.
