The second session of the "Exploring the Chinese Market" Training Seminar Series was officially launched online on April 27, 2023 at 19:30 Beijing time. The session, titled "Legal Issues to be Aware of Before Entering the Chinese Market", was co-sponsored by the Innovation Training Base of Global Development Promotion Center and the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, and co-organized by Xiamen Victwo BizTech Co., Ltd. (Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator) and Xiamen Information Group.
During this session, we had the pleasure of hosting Ms. Cathy Chen, a distinguished lawyer from Beijing Docvit Law Firm. Ms. Chen engaged in an online discussion with entrepreneurs, providing a comprehensive overview of the vast market and the general business environment of China, the past and present framework of China's Foreign Investment Law, common concerns and social reactions, the government's role, and other practical aspects, as well as important Chinese laws and regulations such as the Company Law, Partnership Enterprise Law, Consumer Rights Protection Law, Product Quality Law, Data Security Law, Personal Information Protection Law, etc. She also expounded on issues to be aware of before entering the Chinese market, such as site leasing, tax incentives, and investment introduction policies and registration procedures of certain free trade zones and industrial parks, alongside typical case analysis of important terms that require due attention. Lastly, Ms. Chen patiently and meticulously responded to questions from participants, earning unanimous praise from those in attendance. Participants found the training to be highly informative.
The second session of the "Exploring the Chinese Market" Training Seminar Series attracted approximately 131,000 views from 21 countries, including China, Brazil, Canada, the United States, Japan, Germany, Singapore, South Africa, Russia, the Netherlands, India, Malaysia, Samoa, New Zealand, Ireland, France, Italy, Australia, Mauritius, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. Two more sessions are scheduled to take place and will cover topics of "Practical Strategies for Entering the Chinese Market" and "E-commerce and Digital Marketing in China".
