Sponsored by the Integrated Building Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Branch and organized by Hiteknova (Xiamen) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., the 2023 Summit on Digital Intelligence Technology for Steel Structure Industry kicked off successfully on April 22, 2023 in Xiamen City, Fujian Province. The Summit was co-organized by Xiamen Victwo BizTech Co., Ltd. (Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator), adding a distinctive BRICS splash to the event.
As part of the digital intelligence transformation drive of the steel structure industry, the Summit received high attention and enlightening guidance from high-ranking government officials. Among its attendees were Mr. Li Liping, President of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Branch; Mr. Ma Xinbo, Deputy Director of the Building Technology Division of the Science, Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development; Ms. Wei Xiaomei, Executive Secretary-General of the Integrated Building Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Branch; Deputy Director Mr. Hong Liang and Project Development Group Leader Mr. Yang Dongyang of the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center; Mr. Lin Shuzhi, Inspector and Chief Engineer of Xiamen Municipal Transportation Bureau; Mr. Zhao Yiyuan, Deputy Director of Jimei Taiwanese Investment Zone Management Committee; Mr. Mr. Zhao Zhigang, President of Xiamen Survey and Design Association Steel Structure and Curtain Wall Branch; and dozens of industry experts and representatives of nearly 200 steel structure related enterprises.
Under the theme of "Gathering Wisdom for the Future and Empowering Innovation for Tomorrow", the Summit aimed to facilitate in-depth discussions on the challenges, opportunities, paths, solutions, bottlenecks, and pressures amid the digital transformation of the steel structure industry. The goal was to gather wisdom and consensus to support industry players in carrying out comprehensive and systematic digital transformation, thereby helping industry players reshape their control and expansion capabilities.
Mr. Li Liping delivered a congratulatory speech at the Summit. He emphasized that the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Branch is dedicated to promoting domestic and international trade, investment, and economic and technological cooperation in the construction industry, building a platform for exchange and cooperation, and engaging the construction industry in the "Dual Circulation" at home and abroad and the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", adding that the Summit was a concrete action by the Council to implement the strategic arrangements of the 20th CPC National Congress to rev up the building of a modern industrial system and the work plan of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development to promote the coordinated development of intelligent construction and building industrialization. Mr. Li expressed his hope that all participating experts and entrepreneurs would contribute insights for the transformation, upgrading and high-quality development of the construction industry.
Mr. Hong Liang, Deputy Director of the Office of Xiamen Leadership Group for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center, congratulated the successful holding of the Summit and emphasized that digital intelligence transformation is a global trend and a red-hot focus for both domestic and foreign enterprises. He noted that China's prefabricated building technology enjoys a competitive advantage in the international arena, and expressed his hope that the domestic steel structure industry would give full play to its advantages and influence, pool international marketing and professional service resources, and integrate advanced digital concepts and intelligent technologies with the novel construction industry, thereby shaping a full-fledged industrial ecosystem in collaboration with BRICS member states, emerging markets and developing countries, continuously introducing novel digital intelligence technologies to the international market, strengthening science, technology and innovation cooperation, and enabling resource sharing in the global steel structure community for mutual benefits. Mr. Hong envisioned that this Summit would not only contribute new ideas to the high-quality development of Chinese growth enterprises but also lead by example through the digital transformation and upgrading of the steel structure industry, facilitate pragmatic cooperation among BRICS and BRICS Plus member states, and take the BRICS partnership on new industrial revolution to the next level.

(Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator) shared its insights into how Chinese prefabricated building manufacturers could achieve leapfrog development through BRICS Plus global cooperation, why manufacturers should "go global in groups", how to do so, and how to tackle problems that may arise, in addition to calling on manufacturers to seize on the opportunity, push into the international market, export Chinese technologies and standards, share benefits with counterparts from all over the world, and eventually achieve leapfrog development. At the Summit, Victwo shared its achievements and experience in assisting Hiteknova in conducting business exchanges with counterparts from countries such as Brazil, South Africa, the Philippines, Canada, Malaysia, and Guinea. These exchanges culminated in business cooperation intentions worth hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars. The model of "going global in groups" aroused strong interest among participating entrepreneurs, who enthusiastically consulted Victwo about relevant details after the Summit.
On the day of the Summit, high-ranking officials from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Branch, the Building Technology Division of the Science, Technology and Industrialization Development Center of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Integrated Building Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Construction Industry Branch, and the Xiamen Municipal Transportation Bureau, as well as honorable guests at the Summit, attended an unveiling ceremony for the "International Cooperation and Exchange Base for the Construction Industry" held on the premises of Hiteknova. They also toured Hiteknova's new technology application base to gain a deeper understanding of flexible and intelligent manufacturing.
This event will further promote the digital, networked, and intelligent transformation of China's steel structure industry.
