“Invest in Colombia” Published Ahead of the State Visit by the President of Colombia to China

At the invitation of President Xi Jinping of China, President Gustavo Petro of Colombia paid a state visit to China on October 24, 2023. On the afternoon of October 25, President Xi Jinping met with President Gustavo Petro at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. During this meeting, the leaders of both nations announced the elevation of Sino-Colombian relations to a strategic partnership. Prior to the meeting, a grand welcoming ceremony was held in the Great Hall of the People for President Petro.   

In the months leading up to President Petro's visit to China, the Embassy of Colombia in China, under the special advisory support of Ambassador Sergio Cabrera, collaborated with Victwo to produce the most comprehensive and detailed special issue ever published by the Colombian Embassy in China, titled "Invest in Colombia."  

Following the publication of the special issue, diplomats from the Colombian Embassy in China brought copies back to Colombia as gifts for President Petro, Foreign Minister Claudia Blum, and Mr. Zhu Jingyang, the Chinese Ambassador to Colombia.
