Prof. Chen Binghui Visits Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator

On April 3rd, 2024, Prof. Chen Binghui, Dean of the School of Energy and Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University Malaysia, paid a visit to Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator in the company of Mr. Chen Ruijian, Chairman of Xiamen Huankang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.  

Xiamen University's Malaysian Campus, which stands as the first-ever overseas branch institution established by a Chinese university, is currently collaborating with its home campus to develop the Xiamen University Science Park straddling both Xiamen Island and Malaysia, in a drive to foster bilateral technological innovation cooperation between Xiamen City and Malaysia.

During the visit, Prof. Chen presented an overview of the development progress and prospects of the Xiamen University Science Park. Mr. Edward Yang, Head of Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator and a long-time "Friend of Malaysia", gave a brief introduction to Victwo and Xiamen BRICS+ Technology Accelerator, sharing Victwo's past experiences and achievements in facilitating cross-border collaboration with Malaysia. Both sides discussed the possibility of pushing for the establishment of a "Belt and Road" Joint Laboratory in partnership between Xiamen University and relevant Malaysian research institutions, and inviting Chinese technology companies to harness the Xiamen University Malaysia Science Park as a platform undergirding their investment and cooperation ventures in Malaysia and neighboring ASEAN countries.
